Description

The pump basket is made from heavy-duty plastic.  The basket in placed inside the pump housing assembly, collecting large pieces of debris that were missed by the weir basket. The pump basket prevents the debris from entering the pump assembly and clogging the impeller.

The pump basket should be cleared out weekly and even more frequently during autumn and spring when there is more debris in the pool.  Failing this, the pool will have decreased water flow which means reduced filtration and ultimately, the dreaded algae bloom.
